The Boiler System 

Unlike furnaces that use air to deliver warm temperatures across the house, boilers use water! This system administers high temperatures in water, then passes it to radiators and other devices. If the furnace uses pipes and fans for heat to circulate, boilers, on the other hand, use pumps. 

There are two types of boilers: steam and residential. 

Less used in homes today, steam boilers utilize oil and natural gas. The water is boiled, and the steam serves as the heat carrier throughout the house. Meanwhile, residential boilers use heating oil and natural gas. Controls for your boiler system include water temperature, valves for circulation, aquastats, and thermostats. 

Heat Your Floors Through Radiation

Just like the boilers, radiant heat systems use water. 

It uses tubes to distribute warm water under the floor, increasing the rooms’ temperatures. It is run by natural gas, propane, wood, or electricity. 

Since this is a modernized and contemporary system, it may be more expensive than the others. What makes up the extra cost is that it requires adept designers and installers.

Plug-in Electric Heaters 

This system works the same as an oven toaster or a clothing iron. The electric current is converted into heat from the wall socket. Unlike boilers, furnaces, and radiant heat, plug-in electric heaters do not use ducts or fans. 

Although it is less expensive to buy, the electricity generated while electric heaters are used makes it expensive while using. 

Heat Pump: Your Two-Way Air Conditioner

Heat pumps generally work as a heating and cooling system as it is a two-party air conditioner. 

It uses an electrical system, and like a furnace, it also utilizes forced-warm air to push high air temperatures in the house. It moves heat instead of generating it from a fuel source, making it more efficient. Meanwhile, it can work reversely, allowing you to enjoy central air conditioning in the summer season. 

Refrigerated Cooling System

The process in this system is also reversible. It gives powerful cooling and produces warm air at the same time! 

A ducted refrigerated cooling starts its work when the refrigerant evaporates, and heat is removed out of the air in your home. It allows your house to cool over time. It also offers unfluctuating temperature levels because this system can adjust its power to meet your desired temperature.
